Quadio is the college creative network.




How does Quadio work?


Quadio is open to everyone with a college-issued .edu email address. Current students, alumni, and school staff members are all welcome to join. Once you log on, you can...

  • Create a profile
  • Look for collaborators and friends
  • Send direct messages
  • Upload your own tracks
  • Listen to new music from your campus and from schools across the country
  • Like, share, and comment on your favorite tracks
  • Check out what songs are climbing the charts
  • See what your friends are listening to
  • ... and more




How can people who are not in college listen to Quadio?


If you are not in college or do not have access to a .edu account, but you wish to support Quadio or an artist on Quadio, you can do the following:

  • Follow Quadio on social media @QuadioMedia on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. (Quick Tip: public song links are shared daily on Twitter.com/quadiomedia)
  • Ask the artists you want to support to share links to their Quadio songs.
  • Ask your friends with Quadio accounts to share links to Quadio songs.

Signing Up – Be a Quadio member

My school uses Gmail, how do I get my verification email?


If you are experiencing difficulties receiving your account verification email, check your spam and junk folders. If the verification email isn't located in your spam or junk folders, follow the steps below:

  • Log in to gmail.com on a computer.
  • Click the gear icon in the top-right, and select Settings.
  • Click the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  • Click Create a New Filter.
  • In the pop-up window, enter the email address you want whitelisted in the From field. (noreply@quadio.com)
  • Click Create filter.
  • Check "Never send it to Spam".
  • Click Create filter.
  • Go to: https://app.quadio.com/resend-verification
  • Enter your .edu email address
  • Check your inbox again for the verification email
If you are still experiencing difficulties receiving your account verification, email us at help@quadio.com.




I didn’t get my verification email. What should I do?


If you are experiencing difficulties receiving your account verification email, check your spam and junk folders. If the verification email isn't located in your spam or junk folders, you can attempt to resend your verification email by visiting https://app.quadio.com/resend-verification. If you are still experiencing difficulties receiving your account verification, email us at help@quadio.com.




I am an alumni, how do I get my .edu email?


The best way to receive access to an alumni.edu email address is by contacting the Alumni Association of your school. Results may vary based on school guidelines. Tip: Google "alumni email" + your school's name. (Ex: alumni email NYU)




How do I reset my password?


You can reset your password by visiting https://app.quadio.com/forgot-password. Enter the email address associated with your account. We'll email you a link to reset your password.




Is there a Quadio app?


YES! Download the Quadio iOS app on the App Store. Click Here To Download The Quadio iOS App




What are the password requirements?


Your password must: • Be at least 8 characters long • Contain at least 1 lowercase letter • Contain at least 1 uppercase letter • Contain at least 1 number




New school request? How long will it take for my school to be added to Quadio?


New school requests can take up to 24-hours but are often handled much more quickly, depending on the time of day they are received. If your school is not in our system yet, don't worry, we will add it and let you know as soon as it's ready. Please check that your email address is entered correctly when entering your information on the signup page. https://app.quadio.com/sign-up. When the new school request pop-up appears, click the send request button.




What if I’m not an artist or a creative?


Quadio is open to everyone with a college issued .edu email address. How do I grow my Quadio account? Complete your profile:

  • Upload a profile photo
  • Enter your name, looking for, and skills
  • Add links to your social media
  • Complete your bio and status
Engage your community:
  • Explore the Home page
  • Find your new favorite artist
  • Play, Like, Comment, and Share tracks
  • Follow accounts and make new friends
  • Send unique messages (do not spam or copy-paste messages)
  • Explore the Work In Progress tracks
  • Invite your friends to Quadio
  • Create a Playlist
Connect with your community outside of Quadio:
  • Post links to your tracks or to your favorite Quadio tracks on social media
  • Share track links to friends and listeners outside of Quadio
  • Tag friends in social posts on @QuadioMedia channels
Artist & Creator Tips:
  • Maximize attention to individual tracks by spacing out releasing
  • It is recommended to allow at least 24 hours between uploads
  • Interact with Work In Progress tracks that may need your skills
  • Respond to people who Like, Comment, Message, and Follow




Can I add social media links to my profile?


Yes! You can add links to your social media profiles. • Click your profile photo in the top right corner of the screen. • Click Update Profile from the drop-down menu. • Scroll down to the About section. • Enter your social media links in the Web Links sections. • Once saved, your links will appear on the About tab of your profile.




How many skills can I list on my profile?


You can add up to 3 skills to your profile.




How do I update my Profile?


To update your profile, click your profile photo and select the Update Profile option in the drop-down menu. • To get the most out of your experience on Quadio, we recommend making your profile as complete as you can. • Add a profile picture and let people know who you are and what you do. • Enter any skills you have and let other users know what you’re looking for.




What do I do if my picture isn’t uploading


At the moment we have three requirements for profile photos.

  • Images must be less than 10MB.
  • Images must be at least 500 x 500 pixels.
  • Images must be JPEG or PNG files.
Confirm your image meets these requirements. If your image matches these requirements and you are still experiencing issues uploading, please let us know. You can reach us at help@quadio.com.




How do I delete my profile?


User-controlled deletion settings are currently being developed. If you would like to delete your profile, please email us at help@quadio.com.





Uploading a Track / Track Info – Uploading tracks

How do I change the track name for a song after it has been uploaded?


Quadio does not currently support editing track names after uploading. Please double check that all information is correct before uploading. If you do need to change any track details, we recommend deleting the track and re-uploading with the correct track name.




Can I change a track from Work In Progress to Complete?


Currently, a new upload is required to post a completed version of a track previously uploaded as Work In Progress




Can I change genres on uploaded tracks?


Yes! Follow the steps below to change the genres on a previously uploaded track:

  • Click the three dots in the bottom right corner of your track.
  • Click the Edit Track option in the drop-down menu.
  • Here you can change the genres assigned to your track.




When I upload, what kind of compression or normalization does Quadio apply?


There is currently no compression or normalization being applied to tracks uploaded to Quadio. However, normalization for Quadio track uploads is being developed.




Can I edit collaborators on a previously uploaded track?


Yes! Follow the steps below to edit collaborators on a previously uploaded track:

  • Click the three dots in the bottom right corner of your track.
  • Click the Edit Track option in the drop-down menu.
  • Here you can change the collaborators on your track.




How do I upload tracks?


To upload a track, click the button that says upload on the top right of the page. Here you can add your track, track title, and genres. You can also select status, privacy, collaborators, description, and cover art.




Can I upload from a mobile device?


Yes, you can upload from a mobile device. From the Quadio mobile app, click the Upload Track icon. This will send you to Quadio mobile web, where you will be able to upload from your phone.




How can I change the privacy settings on a track?


Yes! Follow the steps below to change the privacy on a previously uploaded track:

  • Click the three dots in the bottom right corner of your track.
  • Click the Edit Track option in the drop-down menu.
  • Here you can change the privacy settings on your track.




How can I report a track for copyright infringement or unacceptable content?


Click on the 3 dots to the right of any track to open the "see more" menu. Select “report” and provide a quick explanation of why you’re reporting the track. Our team will investigate and contact you by email if we need more information.




Who can see my private tracks?


Only you and people you share your private track’s url with can access private tracks. *Every track uploaded is subject to Quadio's terms of service. Private tracks may be accessed and reviewed by our team if they are reported for copyright infringement or unacceptable content.




Is it possible to group songs as albums or EPs?

Do tracks have time limits or file size limitations?


There are no limits on the length of a track or the file size. However, larger files and longer tracks may take longer to upload and render while playing. For optimal performance, we recommend limiting tracks to about 1 hour in length.




How many genres can I add to my track?


Tracks can be tagged with up to 2 genres.




Does Quadio allow remixes, samples, or covers?


Remixes, samples, and covers are welcomed! Please take the time to familiarize yourself with our Terms of Service. Click Here To See Quadio's Terms of Service You are responsible for ensuring that you have the proper permissions to upload content to the platform.




What types of audio files are supported for track uploads?


To upload a song, you will have to upload one of the following supported audio file types: flac, wav, aiff, m4a, mpeg, or mp3. For optimal performance, we recommend limiting the length of your track to 1 hour, maximum.




How do I change cover art for a song after it has been uploaded?


Quadio does not currently support editing cover art on tracks. Please double check that all information is correct before uploading. If you do need to change any of these track details, we recommend deleting the track and re-uploading with the correct cover art.





Discover – Discover the latest tracks and artists

How does the Discover page work?


The Discover page is a live timeline of every song being uploaded to Quadio. This is where you'll see the most recent tracks uploaded to Quadio in the location and/or genre you're filtered by. Everyone starts out looking at the Regional feed by default, but you can view any location or genre by adjusting the filters.




What is a "Work in Progress" track?


The “Work in Progress” section is where you’ll find tracks that are not yet 100% completed and still being worked on by their uploaders. This is an excellent place to discover potential collaborators or tracks that could use your skills or feedback. #WIP




How does Quadio define Regions?

Charts – Listen to the top ranking tracks

How does the Charts page work?


Quadio’s Charts page show the most popular tracks on the platform. You can filter by genre or location to see the top 100 tracks in a specific genre, school, state, or region. All Time Charts: Songs that have the most overall plays and likes. Hot Charts: Songs that have the most plays and likes in the least amount of time.




How are tracks ranked on the Charts page?


The All Time Charts rank tracks based on all-time performance. The Hot Charts also rank tracks by popularity but adds in the factor of time decay. While plays and likes are taken into consideration, so is the recency of the upload. All Time Charts: Songs that have the most overall plays and likes. Hot Charts: Songs that have the most plays and likes in the least amount of time.




What’s the difference between the Hot and All Time Charts?


All Time Charts: The All Time Charts rank tracks based on all-time performance. Songs that have the most overall plays and likes will top the All Time charts. Hot Charts: The Hot Charts show the hottest tracks on the platform right now. Songs that have the most plays and likes in the least amount of time will top the Hot charts.





Community – View talented artists to stream and connect with

How does the Community page work?


The Community page allows you to sort, filter, and search for other users on Quadio. You can find exactly who you’re looking for and easily start interacting.




How can I acknowledge my collaborator(s) on a track?


When you upload a track, you have the option to include your collaborators through the “Add Collaborators” field on the upload page. Your collaborators are sent a notification to accept or decline being added to your track. Type in the name of your collaborators in the "Add Collaborators" field. Collaborators can also be added after uploading, via the "Edit Track" page.




What is the difference between the “Skills” and “Users Looking For” filters?


Filtering by ‘Skills’ will show users who describe themselves as having those skills. For example, if you’re looking for a drummer to complete your band, you can use this filter to find everyone who lists themselves as a drummer. Use the ‘Users Looking For’ filter to see the users who are looking for a specific skill set or resource. For example, if you are a bassist and you’d like to see everyone who is looking for a bassist, this would be the best way to do that efficiently.

Update: We recently made an update to our profile structure. Originally, multiple profiles could be created under one account. Our original profile structure was limiting our chat functionality and also blocking us from building a recommendation engine. Now that this concern has been resolved, there will be many exciting updates and enhancements coming to Quadio. Stay tuned!

If you haven't provided a new email address for your band profile, reach out to our community support team with the following information: Subject: Secondary Account Login. Full Name, Band Name, and New Email Address. help@quadio.com. Have you provided a new email address for your band profile? If yes, have you followed the steps provided to you via the "New Account [Quadio]" email from noreply@quadio.com? Are you still unable to log in with your new email after following the emailed instructions? If yes, reach out to our community support team by emailing help@quadio.com. Notifications – What notifications are sent

Can I see who liked a comment?


Yes! When people like a comment that you posted, a notification is sent to your 'You" feed. You can see these notifications by clicking the bell icon and selecting "You".




How do I see all of my notifications?


Follow the steps below to see all of your notifications:

  • Click the bell icon
  • Go to the bottom of the notification window
  • Click "See all notifications"




What shows up in my "Following" feed?


Your "Following" feed shows you notification when people you follow post on Quadio. What you will see in your "Following" feed:

  • When someone you follow posts a track




What shows up in my "You" feed?


Your "You" feed shows you notifications when people interact with you. What you will see in your "You" feed:

  • When someone follows you
  • When someone likes something you posted
  • When someone comments on something you posted




Will an artist receive a notification if I unlike their track?


No, artists will not receive a notification if you unlike their track.




Will a user receive a notification if I unfollow them?


No, users will not receive a notification if you unfollow them.




What's the difference between You and Following in Notifications?


Your "You" feed shows you notifications when people interact with you. Your "Following" feed shows you notification when people you follow post on Quadio. What you will see in your "You" feed:

  • When someone follows you
  • When someone likes something you posted
  • When someone comments on something you posted
What you will see in your "Following" feed:
  • When someone you follow posts a track




Do artists get notifications when people like their songs?


Yes! When people like a song that you posted, a notification is sent to your 'You" feed. You can see these notifications by clicking the bell icon and selecting "You".




Do artists get notifications when people play their songs?


No, artists do not get notifications when people play their songs.
